SHEPHERD
David was born November 12, 1968 in Abilene, Texas but he spent his childhood in Haysville, Kansas. He came to Lubbock Christian University in the fall of 1987 where he met his wife Tonia (Spratlin) Boyer. They were married May 16, 1992.
David is a dean and professor in the School of Education at LCU. He taught mathematics and then served as an administrator at Frenship High School before returning to his alma mater in 2000. His wife, Tonia is also a professor of Elementary Education at LCU. They have a son and daughter, Tyler and Brooklyn, who both grew up at Sunset.
David and Tonia have been members at Sunset since 1992. His favorite activity is food and fellowship. A personal motto, “when in doubt, eat dessert first”.
