Eric was born on February 16, 1966 in Marysville, Kansas. He went to high school in Savoy, Texas and attended Lubbock Christian University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education.

While at LCU, he met Amy Wilson and they were married on June 22, 1991. They have three daughters- Brittany, who is married to Clayton Hilton, Julianna and Elizabeth. They also have a grandson, Holden.

Eric teaches history and coaches at Lubbock Christian School, where he has been
employed since 1991.

One of Eric's favorite scriptures is 2 Timothy 3:16-17.

He enjoys spending time with family, fixing things around the house and collecting eagles.
